Across the world, some of the other elections that have been revealed as fixed were overthrown not because of an article in a magazine, but because citizens took to the streets and demanded justice.
In that light, just picture this response to this article.
Mass protests outside White House rock nation
A mass protest outside the White House continued to grow during the day as outraged American citizens responded to a report in Rolling Stone magazine that the 2004 election may have been stolen.
The protest began in the early morning as a crowd of some 10,000 people began to spontaneously gather across from the White House. As word began to spread of the protest during the day, many more Americans left their jobs and traveled to join the protest.
The outrage of American citizens to this report also started a spontaneous general strike across the country that has nearly paralized economic activity. Millions of Americans have walked off their jobs spontaneously saying that "business as usual can't continue."
As evening falls, the biggest protest appears to be outside the White House. The crowd that has gathered in the National Mall has been estimated now to be more than a million people. Many of them are vowing not to leave until justice is served.
Also, more protests are springing up in state capitals and major cities across the nation. In every major city, nightfall finds massive crowds gathering in response to the news that the 2004 election may have been stolen.
The call for a general strike to grow and continue tomorrow appears to also be reverberating across the country. Businesses are making emergency plans to try to get through the day using the bare-bones of staff that still seems to approve of President Bush. But economic activity in the country appears to be ready to grind completely to a halt.
Because of this, business leaders appear to be contacting the White House. Faced with the prospect of billions of dollars of losses from an economic shutdown over the next few days, they appear to be pleading with both President Bush and Vice President Cheney to resign from office. Rumors exist that President Bush's team is frantically calling friendly right-wing regimes looking for a place to go into exile.
Given Bush's low popularity numbers, and an existing national outrage over everything from the war in Iraq to high gas prices, it appears this evening that we may be witnessing the final hours of the Bush administration.

Of course, Democrats are much too wimpy to do THIS.
