I'm really getting sick of W's Iraq War
excuses. I don't know if it was my atheistic hippie parents or what, but I learned at an early age the difference between an excuse and a reason. W's war hero dad and prim and proper mother apparently never clued young chimpy into the difference.
See Dub, saying the war in Iraq was justified because we removed a bad man from power is an excuse, not a reason, for war because there are plenty of other bad men doing bad stuff to poor folks all over the world. If we were fighting a war on tyranny such a justification would be a reason rather than an excuse, but we not only are not fighting such a war we are actively supporting tyrants in places like Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and points worldwide.
There was a reason for going to war against Iraq and that reason was their support of terrorism and possesion of lethal stockpiles of WMDs. Unfortunately those "reasons" were bald faced lies and now they are left with nothing but excuses.
We shouldn't be surprised though, W and his cabal seem to have a serious problem with Reason... and not only in just this sense.
I'd love to hear whoever the Dem nominee is echo my father when he debates aWol: "Excuses, excuses, excuses! Don't give me excuses, give me a reason!"
