I'm a little concerned now that Democrats and the media are giving Nader too much celebrity- which is all he really wants at this point (principled my ass). Don't be fooled, Nader is no Perot (circa 1992), and he almost certainly will do horribly (even for a third-party candidate) in November. Most Greens realize Bush is a bigger threat than Kerry. And most Greens will vote Democratic come Nov. What Nader is really aiming for is more of that talk about him taking the presidency from Gore in 2000. He loves that. It makes him into a figure more important than he really is. He wants to hear the pleas from Democrats begging him to reconsider, and likewise he wants to hear the applause from Republicans (I'm convinced Ralph is in cahoots with them).
What we have to do now is marginalize Nader. He's already marginalized, politically speaking, but the media loves a good "spoiler" story. Democrats should address the concerns of the leftists and move on without acknowledging this paragon of narcissism.
Thank God most of the far left is coming around. Nader was good a loooooong time ago, but all he is now is a pathetic creature craving recognition. I guess he's still got some idealists on DailyKos fooled.
