Kossaks have been posting a lot about Guckert. My last two diaries were about this.
Republicans keep saying that it won't go away, while Democrats think that it will.
Why are normally disciplined Republicans interested in saying things that keep this alive?
I'm wondering if something bigger is in the pipeline, and they are hoping that this will suck all the air out of the room and redirect coverage away from this event.
Anyone know what this might be?
All that I can figure is that they are trying for another coup in Venezuela.
The other potential big stories, an invasion of Iran, another domestic terrorist attack, etc. are all big enough that it would be the Guckert story getting dropped.
[on edit: Maybe there will be some heavy pro-Chalabi intervention regarding the PM of Iraq?
That might be a story that would get lost under Guckert's underwear.]
