Breaking with Democratic Party orthodoxy, U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler unveiled a Social Security bill Monday he said would ensure the retirement program's perpetual solvency by raising taxes on higher-income Americans.

The merits of his plan aside, I wasn't done watching the Republicans sink under their own faltering plan.
