So.. though hardly anyone would have thought it, its boiled down to Kerry or Edwards. (Sorry DK fans, but I'm not a liberal.. I can't support DK)
I have little faith in Kerry beating Bush, for a few reasons.. but the number one is simple.
I don't think he is likeable to the General Public.
Bush didn't win because he had better answers than Gore, he won because people LIKED him better. (though the idea of someone liking Bush is well.. ugh)
Kerry simply doesn't have the "like" factor.
He may have some decent ideas, though I doubt he will really push any of them. (I only say this beause his record in congress is not one great things, and he hasn't shown any real leadership either.)
So while if Kerry gets the Nom, I'll vote for him, I doubt he will win.
So that leads me to Edwards.. he was always my #2/3 anyways.. I was always a little torn between Clark or Edwards for my second choice.
Now IMO edwards has the "like" factor in spades, but he has very much a small record to lean on. Which, of course is his bigest weakness.
But for now.. I'm going for Edwards. I still wish deeply that Dean was back in it.
I think Dean has a problem, that hopefully he can correct and come back and run again, sometime.
Dean his VERY likeible IN PERSON. But his TV/Media presence.. well.. sucks.
get 4 years of Media coaching Howard, and run agiain in 2008. Cause I don't have any faith in kerry to win.
