OK, first some background. I live in NY, where the State GOP chairman, Steven Minarik has said
"Howard Dean is the personification of today's national Democratic Party -- elite, radical, out-of-control and, sadly, out of touch with ordinary Americans. Now they can be accurately called the party of [Calif. Sen.] Barbara Boxer, Lynne Stewart and Howard Dean."
He then went on to, according to that bastion of leftism, the NY Post, spread a picture,
claiming it showed Stewart with Jesse Jackson, Michael Moore and some Democratic pols at a protest during last summer's GOP convention.
Problem though:
The woman in the photo wasn't Lynne Stewart. Oops.

So I listened to Minarik last night on a local radio show - Andrew Wilkow's. Wilkow agreed with Minarik that since Stewart was a democrat, all dems are radical terrorist enablers...
So I did some research... because it isn't ok with me that these clowns are calling me a terrorist enabler... but if they were going to do that, I want them to stand up and take ownership for their own miscreants.
Like Larry King, Jr., pedophile prostitution ringleader and savings and loan embezzler - who also sang the national anthem at the 1984 and 1988 Republican National Conventions and was seen as a rising star in the Republican Party.
Like Richard Anthony Delgaudio:

The president of a legal aid group that has raised money for embattled national conservative leaders received two years probation on Wednesday for producing child pornography.
Richard A. Delgaudio, president of the Virginia-based Legal Affairs Council, pleaded guilty in February to one felony count of producing child pornography after paying two teenage girls to pose for sexual photos in a Baltimore hotel.
Delgaudio, 50, "acknowledges the acute moral shortcomings of his conduct, and he will continue intense self-examination, and professional and spiritual counseling, that he began last year" his attorneys wrote to Judge John Glynn.
The Legal Affairs Council raised money for the legal defense of Oliver North's legal defense bills during his Iran-Contra trial. It also raised money to defend Casper Weinberger and Laurence Powell, the ex-policeman from Los Angeles who was convicted of civil rights violations against Rodney King.
Police started investigating Delgaudio in November 2001 after an officer saw him picking up women at a Baltimore park known for prostitution activity, according court records.
After an officer saw two known prostitutes get into Delgaudio's car, the officer walked up to talk to Delgaudio, the records show. Delgaudio told the officer he did not know the women and that he was a photographer, according to the records.
He then handed the officer a binder with photos of nude women inside, including nude photos of one of the women in Delgaudio's vehicle. Some of the photographs appeared to show underage girls, according to charging documents.
The officer took Delgaudio in for questioning. An investigation later found that Delgaudio paid two girls, ages 15 and 16, to pose for sexual photos and that he knew the girls were underage.
Delgaudio, of Burke, Va., took 240 photos of one of the minors in four photo sessions in June and October of 2001, according to court records. One of the girls also testified to authorities that Delgaudio participated in sex acts with her, according to court records.
The binder, along with two others found later, were ruled as inadmissible evidence because of improper search procedures, said prosecutor Adam Rosenberg.
The pornography charge Delgaudio pleaded guilty to in February came after one of the victims testified to authorities that Delgaudio photographed her, Rosenberg said.
Of course, we are all fully aware of Jeff Gannon/James Guckert and his homosexual prostitution.
So anyway, I could go on. Over and ovre again, we find miscreants from every party in the news for one crime or another. And while this diary was kind of fun to put together, at the end of the day, I think most republicans on the street want the same thing democrats on the street want - a better America and a better future for our kids. So what good does it do when Minarik calls us terrorists or when we call Republicans the party of "Ken Lay, pension theif"? It just broadens the divide, turns American against American and makes it even more difficult to address real problems that must be dealt with. How are Democrat ideas to be taken seriously with regards to Iraq if you have tv commentors lamenting our supposed "hate America first" tendencies? And will the Republicans really want to keep the image of the "Daddy Party" if we democrats focus on their darkest hours?
I'm just rying to paint a picture for our republican friends of just how ugly things might get if they continue to insult the 48% of America that didn't vote for them.
