Dean in Orlando

I just watched Doctor Deans' speech in Orlando. And despite it being not one of his better speeches (it reminded me a lot of Bill Clintons "rambling" convention speech before he started running), you can see he connects with people.

He focused on three themes mostly.. taking back the democratic party, Bushs' gift of three trillion to the Ken Lays' of the world, (and generally all the Bush lies and corruption), and "You have the power".

Most politicians would have had the crowd primed to chant "we have the power".. but not the good Doctor. At the end of his speech he changed repeatedly "YOU have the power.. YOU have the power". Its not something a crowd can pick up.. because its aimed at them.

What struck me most was how.. either Kossers subconciously adopted Deans talking points.. or he's adopted ours. I look forward to more "Take back the democratic party and get rid of the liar in charge" speeches.
