Today Communist China has flexed its powerful economic muscle and has made offers to acquire both UNOCAL and Maytag. Imagine two US corporations, once publicly owned by the American people as a corporation, will be owned by the Chinese government.
This concept of free trade we so often hear the Republicans using to win elections is disgusting and in my opinion is treasonous. We can't possibly have free trade with a communist regime because in its very nature it holds down the freedoms which capitalism requires to flourish. Price controls imposed by communists limit Americas ability to compete. How can an American worker bargain for labor against a psudo-chinese slave who earns 10 cents an hour? Worst yet, this Chinese worker has no hope of ever working for more because of the brutal controls its government imposes upon him. Yet another example of Chinas atrocities is its flagrant disregard for our environment. Pollution is so bad people have to wear masks to even walk around some Chinese cities.

So how does America react to this communist manipulation of our free market? Republicans award China! Under president Bush, china has bloated economically to the point that its demand for petroleum has caused our gas prices to increase by 40% in one year! Outsourcing to china is destroying our middle class creating an economic situation in which we have an ever-expanding poor population and the gap between rich and poor has never been higher.
If Reagan had made such concessions to Communist Russia, they would have won the cold war! Reagan didn't win the cold war by packing up the American Economy and sending it to Russia, rather our moral leadership caused the Russians to want to be us. They had such disparities in income and morality that they couldn't help to look over the Berlin Wall with envious eyes. President Bush, on the other hand could care less about Americas moral leadership, or Americans all together. For him, it's all about the quick dollar.
So what are the Republican priorities in these times of selling out America to the highest communist bidder? Well, taking an in-depth look: their priorities are protecting the American Flag! This new Flag Amendment that they support would outlaw the burning of the American flag. Do they fail to see the irony? Are Republicans really that stupid and shallow? But they have to be up to something good, don't they? Taking an even closer look, we're cleansing the country morally by fighting homosexuality! Fuck-Yeah! But Wait? Aren't they Americans too? Don't they have rights?
This is yet another Sad day USA. We're being sold out, our middle class undermined and our liberties trampled upon. And Republicans have gone golfing. Yup, we're fucked.
