Casualities in Iraq?

Following the news I seem to read a story or two every day about half a dozen or more US new casualities.  However when I check the one reference for casualities:

I find two spikes on the 04/06/04 and 04/04/04.  But the last couple days we see two days of 2.  Anyone know if these news stories are just  rumors or if with all the choas casualities are just being confirmed very slowly?
