My friend died last night

My friend Matty was a marine. he joined up after our other friend John, so that he could do his part in protecting John..He spent a tour in Iraq and came home unhurt...johnny finished his commitment to the marines after being a part of the initial invasion element but matty had 1 year to go. He was called back up to duty a few months ago and was sent back off to Iraq. I ran into his mother yesterday in town and she was nervous because Matty had called and was nervous about a mission he was being sent on in which he thought he was going into syria. Matty's mom had a marine in full regal show up to the house to tell her, that her son had fought hard for her freedom. he said that he fought hard for her freedom! freedom i say from what?

i myself understand real politik, and the (although i dont agree with it) neocon agenda. but she doesnt, all she knows is that her son is dead. as is my friend who was an amazing person who put his life on the line for me and you and the rest of americas youth and i say for him en nomina patre et filia et spritus santi amen.
