It seems as if Zogby has decided that Michigan is not worth polling anymore, quietly adjusting to the changed dynamic of the race with TN and VA becoming must win states for Clark and Edwards (although the latter already tries to downplay expectations!) and Wisconsin for Dean.
There will be polls from TN and VA now, which werent planned at first. But they will only be released one day before the primaries! What purpose do they serve then? Just setting expectations? The same with Wisconsin although they will be released for the two days preceding the primary there.
As I mentioned above, Edwards is trying to downplay expectations for TN and VA, while the media (case in point: msnbc.com) is setting higher expectations for the NC senator, basically saying he needs a "trifecta of wins in TN, VA and WI".
Now, does that suggest Edwards knows he cant win either state (maybe because he lacks the money for heavy rotation tv ads in these states) or is it simply a good move in the expectations game?
And is it smart betting everything on WI, when Dean does the same and both currently rank behind Clark and all rank far behind Kerry? So many questions...
