NewsHour: Lugar and Biden try to intervene on Iraq

The question is, Bush refused today to reconsider the June 30 transfer of sovereignty.

Lugar and Biden express concern that no one outside the White House knows what the fuck is going to happen on June 30.  

Lugar says after daily briefings during major combat, lately weeks go by without Congress being informed about progress and conditions in Iraq.

There doesn't appear to be a plan.  Biden says it's because of internal disagreements, Lugar says he doesn't know but has made inquiries along those lines.

They demand that Congress be brought into the loop on Iraq planning.  They essentially say the White House needs Congress by its side to bolder its credibility.
