A horse race of a different color - 2008 Republican nominees

Friends,

About a month ago, disgusted by our former candidate's decision to go to Iraq rather than stand up for all the hard work we all did, I proposed simply "my cat deserves to be president more".  And, to my immense satisfaction, our former candidate went down in the first round, and my cat made it to the third.  

But I realized, after getting freeped, and, honestly, getting my tights in a twist over it, that we were going about it all wrong.  

We shouldn't be discriminating.  That's not what we Democrats are about.  Big tent and all of that.

So, let's have a bit of fun.  Let's help the Republicans choose their nominee in 2008.  Would we prefer our candidate run against a moderate Republican of the old school, or some crazed yahoo?
