Santorum Stumps for Flat Earth

Well, not yet at least. But here he is in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette defending a Pennsylvania School Board's attempt to teaching cretin -oops-creation science.  http://www.postgazette.com/pg/04360/432177.stm

I want some academic freedom to teach the Assiniboin creation story.  And what about all that great reseach on UFO's the government has been suppressing?  Shouldn't that be included in science classes.  

Hasn't it occurred to these luddites the search for knowledge, finding explainations for the unexplainable, is what leads to medical and scientific discoveries?  And who are the 300 scientists that were in the study he mentions.
