I am right up to the limits of the 250 words allowed in letters to the editor in our local paper. Any improvements?
Editors:
While the corporate main stream media continues to provide worthless infotainment about Michael Jackson, runaway brides and faux scandals involving celebrity judges on TV shows, the smoking gun proving Bush and Blair lied both countries into an elective war on Iraq goes virtually uncovered.
On May 1st, a top secret British memo dated June 23rd, 2002 from the head of British Intelligence was leaked to the Sunday Times of London proving what we who cared enough to stay informed already knew. The Iraq invasion decision was made by June 2003 (probably earlier) while Bush continued to tell the American people and the world just the opposite. The memo read "Bush has made up his mind to take military action." Saying otherwise was a disgusting, despicable and damnable lie. Not content to merely lie to us about the timing of the decision, the memo goes on to read "the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy." This certainly explains why reality has proven everything the neocons promised us going in to the war to be wrong. Ignoring warnings, these incompetants then failed to prepare and equip our troops for the predicted insurgency which has killed and maimed thousands of our men and woman in uniform.
Fixing the evidence to sell a war that did not need to be waged, and then lying to America about it, reserves a special loathing and scorn for the fabricators of this bloodshed. Where is the outrage?
