So I'm reading
this article (which was linked on Drudge) about Senate testimony regarding porn addiction and there was one statement from Sen. Sam Brownback, chairman of the Commerce subcommittee on science (which held the hearings) that stuck out to me:
Some of his middle-age male friends limit their time alone in hotel rooms to avoid the temptation of graphic pay-per-view movies, Brownback said.
a few paragraphs later:
Brownback, an outspoken Christian conservative who has championed efforts to curb indecency on television and the Internet, said the public is beginning to realize "they don't just have to take it."
Once again it seems that Republicans are aiming to legislate against something because they have trouble controlling their own urges.
