The Democratic Party and Some Mythical 3rd Party

A big acusation of the Democratic party is that it's not stepping up to fight the Republican party. So I ask you this: If not the Democrats then who? I keep on hearing about this 3rd party that shows up, and no one has even the faintest clue what that could be.

So I say, 3rd parties are a myth and will be for the forseeable future. Only the Democratic party has the ability to do anything worth a damn. They still have guys like Howard Dean and others, so I do not expect them to bend over and take it come next election.
