I can not believe how totally and completely offended I am by the statement of one of my brother lawyers to the effect that Kenny Boy Lay feels betrayed by Andy Fastow, the wheeler dealer at Enron. The Washington Post reports today the remarks of a Lay lawyer, Michael Ramsey, that Ken Lay the former CEO of Enron (and confidante of G. W.. Bush) felt betrayed by the actions of Fastow. Lay apparently feels that everyone involved in this fraud believed in Fastow that Kenny and the boys were somehow betrayed by the number cruncher. It is really sort of incredible that someone can engage in conduct that is so shady, so off the wall and so crooked and so harmful to human beings and then when it all blows up his face can say he feels like a victim. Retirees are losing their life savings because of the machinations of this man and he feels like a victim?! That man needs a job slopping pigs or making license plates.
