What Durbin Should Have Said

I really think this column is well written and will appeal to the sentiments of Kossacks.  Therefore, I am not going to excerpt so that everyone reads the whole piece.  The Trib requires a free registration.

There is another article in the Trib today providing a good overview of the responses to Durbin's comments.  It lays out quite well the coordinated response of the Right Wing smear machine.  Here is a link.

The Trib is a conservative paper but I have to give them credit for good coverage on Iraq and Gitmo of late.  The news coverage has been good even while the editorial page struggles.
