Why Mehlman Apologized To NAACP: RoveGate

There are so many nuggets in Matt Cooper's story that it's easy to see why this  got overlooked:

Cooper does offer fresh details about the grand jury itself: "They somewhat reflected the demographics of the District of Columbia. The majority were African American and were disproportionately women..."

Grand juries in DC reflect the overwhelmingly black population, which knows how Rove disenfranchised blacks in Florida and how little Rove cares about urban problems.

Now, for perhaps the first time in his life, Karl Rove needs African American women to believe his lies. Payback can be a bitch, Karl.
