VOICE VOTE!!???!!!!

The Senate just sunk to a new low: a voice vote on Iraq reconstruction. The Nobel Prize for Ass-covering in 2003 goes to the United States Senate.

Don't get me wrong: I think abandoning Iraq would be pretty bad. But I also would have voted no on the appropriation because a yes vote is effectively a vote of confidence in this administration's Iraq policy. Since there was no negotiation, and there remains no clear policy other than spending lots of money, this administration cannot be trusted with 87$ billion.

But whether you agree or not, only Bob Byrd could be heard voting no. The rest of the Senators, facing adverse polls and growing negativity, chose the fetal position strategy. No wonder Senators rarely get elected President. Leadership? I think not. Clear positions? You must be kidding.

My poll's on your least favorite senator, not including Zell Miller since that would be too obvious. I tried to give a mix, so please don't get angry.
