Remember President Bush scratching his head two years or so ago, saying he
just didn't know who could have leaked Valerie Plame's CIA employment to Bob Novak and others? And, gosh, he didn't think we might
ever find out, 'cause it so hard to find out about these leakers, mostly because of you press guys?
Well, this may be stating the obvious, but now Robert Novak is publically saying Bush knows who it was.
"Syndicated columnist Robert D. Novak, who has repeatedly declined to discuss his role in disclosing the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame, said in a speech this week that he is certain President Bush knows who his mystery administration source is.
Novak said Tuesday that the public and press should be asking the president about the official rather than pressing journalists...
"I'm confident the president knows who the source is," Novak told a luncheon audience at the John Locke Foundation in Raleigh, N.C., on Tuesday. "I'd be amazed if he doesn't."
"So I say, don't bug me. Don't bug Bob Woodward. Bug the president as to whether he should reveal who the source is" Novak said.
Duh.
Since this president isn't in the habit of taking questions, why doesn't the press ask his buddy Scotty today or tomorrow if the president knows who leaked Plame (other than Libby)...and why Bob Novak thinks he does?
(apologies if already posted- to my surprise, couldn't find anything on a search of stories or diaries on this)
