Here is the very first ad from a pro-Democratic group called Progressive Media USA.
It just came out today. It's a limited buy, since they don't have the MILLIONS they had in 2004, when they were the biggest and baddest ass 527 kicking repug ass.
Scroll to see the ad and see what you think of the ad? Do you like it? It wasa very limited ad buy, but, do you think it's good enough to warrant sending them a check? And maybe grade their ad from A-F.
FTR, I'd give it a B-
Here's the link to the ad and the article it's in:

However, I Need A List Of CREDIBLE AND EFFECTIVE 527 Groups To Give To. Maybe this group is fine.
Anyone know any besides the generally known and miquetoast, moveon.org, etc. (not to motherfuck moveon, I love them and am a proud member and contributor).
I want a list of a few 527's I can give to that have money and will be hard-hitting with credibility, i.e., I won't be wasting my money sending it to them. Thanks'
Oh, and they have to want to hit McCain right square in his mummy ASS!
Oh, and folks, it's VERY late in the game. McCain and his people like Salter, KNOW that election "DAY" really isn't election "day" in over half the country. Mummy McCain hails from a state, and thus his campaign has PERFECTED "early voting programs". I am not quite sure that Obama's team is that gung-ho on the early voteing thing.
THEY HAD BETTER BE. In states like Arizona, anyone for any reason can vote eaither in-person or by mail 33 days from the "official" election day. Thus (and forgive my math it may be wrong by a couple days), in Arizona candidates can start bagging hundreds of thousands of votes STARTING OCTOBER 1ST!!!!!!!!!!!
That is huge! And other states are the same way. Arizona has had this for a long time and I used to run early voting programs there. And, in may weird and important ways, they are the polar opposite of traditional 1980s-style GOTV on the day of the election. It's a whole different world out there. And McCain's staff are perhaps the biggest EXPERTS at it than anyone in the country because Arizona's entire election system, from early voting, to clean elections, to public funding of state elections is perhaps the most progressive in the United States. With some dibs and kudos to Oregon!
My point about eary voting, is in most states where it exists and has been around a while, FIFTY PERCENT OF ALL VOTES CAST ARE WELL BEFORE ELECTION DAY. So, October first is the REAL deadline for the mummy to be defined. Early voting is so important, because it allows a campaign to "bag" votes and thus it lessens the burden in election "day." In EV states, it ought to be called election MONTH.
FWIW, early voters are disproportionately white. Latinos and African-Americans tend to vote early/absentee a lot less than whites. There are reasons fro this, but that's for another diary.
