Full disclosure: I'm a Deaniac who will support and vote for Kerry should he get the nomination. But...
I think Kerry has some big problems. Chief among them is that he only seems to run against things, not for them. Dean, despite being painted as merely anti-Bush, has a very pro-helathcare, pro-community campaign. Kerry, it seems, was running mainly to be the anti-Dean. Will he run that way against Bush? Will he be running to win or running not to lose? And people who are in Kerry's camp, along with last minute switchovers, are you backing Kerry because you think he is most liekly to win or least likely to lose? Dean supporters (wrong-headed though they may be) can easily envision scenarios where Dean wins by a large margin. Is the Kerry plan to get Gore+1 and not much more?
It may be that Kerry needed to run as the anti-Dean to win Iowa and move on, in which case good call and maybe being the anti-Bush will out for him. Or maybe now that he's a front runner he can really be FOR something. Maybe in NH he is for something but I don't know what the hell it is because I live in California.
Anyway, thoughts? I'd really like to here from Kerry supporters.
