This is written in response the this AP article:
Obama may have to wait for healthcare passage
I will watch him tonight at eight to see his response to this but the wait needs to be over.
Today is the Day
It is here now, today, not tomorrow, not next week, not after vacation, a party, or sometime far off in the future:
Today is the day for healthcare to be provided for ALL Americans.
Today is the day to say everyone at least gets a taste of the pie-not necessarily the biggest piece but not the crumbs either.
Today is the day to help those without jobs still have healthcare.
Today is the last day a person looses their healthcare for “pre-existing” conditions such as pregnancy, breast cancer, hypertension or depression.
Today is the last day mom and/or dad go to sleep crying or worried about a sick child and wondering how they can get the $100 to see the Pediatrician.
Today is the day to support the troops AND to make sure their friends, and ALL their family have healthcare.
Today is the LAST day someone dies because they either could not afford or were afraid to go to the doctor, dentist or hospital.
Today is the day that Americans can go see family doctors for basic care, not wait hours in the ER because they have no choice.
Today is the day for us to care that all Americans have some form of healthcare and it is caring, not socialism that drives this.
Today is the day for people to matter MORE than Insurance companies, healthcare systems, hospitals, drug companies and medical supply companies.
Today is the day that Democrats must stop fighting over crumbs because some Americans will die today because they do not have healthcare.
Today is the day that Republicans stop trying to scare everyone so Americans don’t think about the consequenses of waiting, even one more day.
Today is the day that doctors begin again to decide what is best for the patient, not lawyers or administrators or accountants, etc.
Today is the day I ask you,(Senators and Representatives), to do all you can to really make America the best place in the world to live because we have the best healthcare.
