Right wing outrages just keep on coming, don't they?
Sometimes I wonder if the Democratic Party, its interest groups and the wider left are up to the task of both staying abreast of right wing outrages and fashioning a way forward at the same time. The nuttiness and illogic of the right is so all consuming sometimes that it is difficult to break out of one's defensive posture and cease to think about how righties think.
Nonetheless, I offer you one more example of the nuttiness.
The scene: Wheatridge, Colorado -- a Northwest suburb of Denver. On the corner of Miller and the North I-70 Service Road (approximately 49th Avenue). The situation: a merchant thinks it is wise to equate Obama and Jihad, and thus puts up a billboard advertising the merchant as a nut job hate-monger.

Having generously supplied my fellow Kossaks with a view of the billboard from both east and west, and a view of the web address of the merchant whose wisdom brought this to the our community, I feel confident that the merchant will hear about how folks feel about the billboard.
Of course it is nonsensical. Of course it is hateful and pugilistic and childishly hiding in the skirts of the Fort Hood incident rather than making or defending a cogent point.
Of course it is just another instance. Can we afford to ignore stuff like this? I wish we could. But we just can't.
UPDATE: This was already diaried this morning. The earlier treatment has some links and phone numbers for the offending merchants. But my photos are better. They show that the thing is on the property of the merchant, and that the message is on two sides.
UPDATE: According to Colorado Pols, this merchant was involved with a billboard that recently demanded Obama produce his birth certificate. See the story and discussion for more.
