Few divides in the recent election are as stark as that beween whites and blacks, with whites going strongly for Bush and blacks overwhelmingly for Kerry. Also, there was widespread voter suppression and disenfranchisement among blacks. Therefore, in the efforts of the conservative media to frame their man's second term positively, we see reality turned on its head:
"Even historically Democratic African American evangelicals are backing President Bush in larger numbers (18 percent, double the number who voted for him in 2000, says the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies)."
"Although Republicans still trail Democrats among minorities, Bush's performance among Hispanics improved sharply from 2000 and substantially among blacks. This was especially important in Florida, a statistical tie in 2000, where Bush nearly doubled his share of the African-American vote."
We have already seen that the initial reports of increased support among Hispanics have been debunked.
As for blacks, here is an illustrative chart of Kerry % versus black population in each of Cuyahoga County's 1436 precincts:

Precincts with more than 90% black went for Kerry by more than 95%. This is based on real poll data, not exit poll flim-flammery.
That anyone could take a situation like that and spin it as Bush showing surprising strength among blacks shows how low the media whores have sunk.
Clearly, the real frame is largely one of a victory of white racism combined with black voter suppression and disenfranchisement.
