The hits keep on coming for Carly Fiorina, the failed CEO gasping for air in the GOP primary to take on Senator Boxer. Carly's campaign has been one unmitigated boatload of fail since its inception. Let's summarize:
- The company she nearly ruined has now maxed out to Senator Boxer.
- She trails primary opponent Tom Campbell badly in all the latest polling.
- She has lied--twice--about her fundraising numbers.
- And to top it off, her website rollout is often considered a nominee for all-time worst.
The California Democratic Party has definitely taken notice, and today announced the creation of a parody site dedicated to exposing Carly's floundering campaign: carlyfailorina.com (it's pleasing that we blogger types aren't the only ones using the alliterative "fail" to describe Carly's drain-circling campaign).
And guess what? There's even more fail! Fiorina's campaign is obviously suffering because of Tom Campbell's entry into the race--and Fiorina has decided to attack Campbell, a reputed moderate, from the right. She has launched a new video to do so, called "Fiscal Conservative in Name Only. And this video must be seen to be believed. It's absolute hilarity--portraying pure conservatives as sheep in a field and Tom Campbell as some man-wolf-terminator monster in a sheep costume that would evoke something out of a c-grade sci-fi movie. I don't know who's running their online operations team, but this is their second act of stark raving lunacy. I'm just waiting for their third offering.
For those wondering why the CDP isn't going after Tom Campbell, given his poll leads, just wait. From the accompanying release:
The website, first in a series of websites the CDP plans to launch this year profiling Republican candidates, is a parody of Fiorina’s own campaign website that aims to paint her as a competent CEO and business leader, despite her numerous failures.
“Carly Fiorina would be an unmitigated disaster for California,” said California Democratic Party Chairman John Burton. “But just don’t take our word for it. Talk to any of the 28,000 people she fired while she was busy sending jobs overseas and running Hewlett-Packard right into the ground.”
In Carly's defense: maybe she thinks she's failing upwards?
