Be upset if you must about the Senate and House not voting with Boxer and the CBC on the challenge, but for the fuel you need to beat the Republican bastards, try instead to remember just how condescending, snotty, belligerent, and just plain rude the Republicans were.
Remember that NOT ONE Republican acknowledged any of the problems reported on by Tubbs-Jones.
Remember that NOT ONE Republican gave the Conyers report one iota of respect.
Remember that NOT ONE Republican addressed a SINGLE incident (probably because they didn't go to that hearing in Ohio, but I digress).
Remember that the Republicans came out full-force, 1,000% against the entire idea of one person- one vote, and in fact met that challenge with Coulterian venom and Limbaughian sarcasm, showing that they are the ones who are the true elitists.
Remember that speaker after speaker got up with crude variations of the same theme: "We Won - NEENER NEENER NEENER - go cry to Michael Moore after bowing before George W. Bush!!"
Remember that the DC Dems, still being led by the Democratic Losers Committee mentality of try to be just as Republican as Republicans, can be led away from that because too many of them are feckless enough to follow a winning strategy if it is shown to them -- and that we can show them that strategy by funding and working for Dean or Rosenberg (my two DNC Chair choices) and continuing to fund MoveOn and DFA and ACT and all the other 527s that can force the Party, kicking and screaming as it will be, towards being real Democrats once again.
And when it gets discouraging, like it may be for many of you right now, who we're fighting and that they don't give us one ounce of respect.
Which should give us the freedom and motivation to do the work to beat the bastards.
P.S.: Oh, and PAYBACK'S A BEEE-YAAAATCH!
