I make no secret about my dislike of John Kerry, personally, politically and socially (I don't travel in the 'heiressphere')
I love Howard Dean - what he stands for, what he has done, who he is personally, politically and socially. I am the kind of girl who likes biking and eating cupcakes. He also inspires me to action.
So why on Earth would I cast my ballot for Kerry?
Maybe because I care about these things:
He could not be worse than Bush on abortion, the seperation of church and state, the environment or civil rights.
I can't think of any more reasons than that - maybe most people don't need more. Certainly all these ideological items are crucial.
For once though, I would like to vote FOR someone, rather than in fear of what a Republican might do. Can't I ever do this? Can't I ever NOT sellout and vote my beliefs.
Not this year, I guess.
