It appears that W is now criticizing FDR over the Yalta Accord and its
recognition of reality.
"... In the speech, Bush said the agreement in 1945 at Yalta among President
Franklin D. Roosevelt, Soviet leader Josef Stalin and British Prime Minister
Winston Churchill "followed in the unjust tradition of Munich and the
Molotov-Ribbontrop pact."

The reality that the USSR had millions and millions of battle hardened troops
in the region, while the US was still fighting on the Western Front does not
seem to bother W who lives in his candy cane world. Especially since he can
talk as tough as he wants while he and most of his Admin
avoided combat at
every opportunity
While the consequences of Yalta were not the best, they did provide the
breathing space to prevent WWIII on the European Continent. PLUS, on a
personal note, my father had gone through Normandy, the drive across France,
was wounded and MIA during the Bulge, and then pushed into Germany......and
lived to play poker all the way across the Atlantic on the way home to W. Va.
I can NEVER criticize Yalta or the dropping of the bomb in Japan since those
two events probably saved his life and allowed me to be born.
All these ignorant "conservatives" who now say, "Yalta was treason or on par
with Munich." Are scum who don't have the intelligence and character to
understand what it is to lead a nation in war. Bush proved it with "Bring it
on". He proves it once again here. To so blithely talk about spilling the
blood of your fellow citizens in time of danger shows a total lack of
maturity, an infantile notion of war, and a total ignorance of the reality of
history.
I swear to God, this man is one of the worst leaders this country has had to
endure.

BTW- The President who did the "Munich at Yalta" had several sons. They
were in uniform and served in combat units during WWII. If the current
conflict is so central the safety of the US, as Bush keeps claiming, why
aren't his children serving instead of bar hopping across Georgetown?
