This will be my first diary (and perhaps even last) here on DK. I've never felt my writing style led to much in the way of being interesting.
But today, I felt it was interesting to take a look at those caucuses that proclaimed that they would be united in voting against the 'Nue' Deal today.
Nice squiggly you have below, be ashamed if something were to happen to it....

As for the real analysis as to how well these people represented us and where we go from here, I'll let you decide. My personal opinion is that the CBC was pretty much blowing smoke up peoples tailpipes with their announcement. They voted at almost 40% in line with what the President wanted. The Progressive Caucus voted slightly better at around 20% for it. Overall, 95 Democrats voted for it and 95 voted against it. This isn't exactly the resounding bare minimum support for passage that many here were hoping for at best if it HAD to pass. The Democrats, along with the Republicans BOTH own big heaping bites of this Satan Sandwich. That doesn't bode well for elections next year IMHO.
The President definately did not do his party, nor his fellow Americans a favor with this 'Nue' Deal. I'm definately disappointed.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention Giffords returning for a vote today. While I do not support her vote, I am happy to see her furthering along the road of recovery!
Hopefully this wasn't too bad for a first work. If you have any suggestions or whatnot, leave a remark.
