I was perusing the website of one Michigan's main tea party groups when I got the laugh of my life. Then I almost cried.
In Michigan, one of the more active tea party groups is the Tea Party of West Michigan.

Unfortunately for them, the correct word in this phrase would be "AFFECT", not "EFFECT". It's not just a mistake on their front page either -- it's on every single page. Some of the pages even have different banners but the mistake is on all of them. Here's the banner at the top of the page of one of the more active members:
A group of people that wallows in their ignorance, has no need for intelligence, eloquence or articulate expression is making huge inroads in running our country. Do we really want people AFFECTING elections that can't even write the phrase properly? But, hey, I guess that is just me being elitist, eh?
This is Idiocracy happening right in front of our very eyes.
