With Rick Perry and Mitt Romney sucking up most of the oxygen from the campaigns of the rest of the 2012 Republican field, one candidate in particular has been all but forgotten: Thad McCotter. But he's out there, he's campaigning and he's serious about war and recession:

Asked to choose between Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, he was mum.

"I reject the premise of the question, as a country in war and recession."

What a patriot.
