OCCUPY DETROIT: Warren Tea Party President silent at MWRO office!
While attending the "Occupy Detroit" protest event on Friday, 10/14/11, at Grand Circus Park in Detroit, I ran into a fellow resident of Macomb County. I was very surprised to see this young man because I know of him as, Evan Thomas Kuettner (also known as Tom Kuettner or Evan Thomas), the President of the Warren Tea Party and former candidate for Warren City Council in District 4, http://www.warrenteaparty.com/
Of course, I felt compelled to engage Mr. Kuettner in a conversation about his presence at the Occupy Detroit protest and about politics, and the pathological/unjust code and/or system of white supremacy (racism). "... By "racism" we mean the predication of decisions and policies on considerations of race for the purpose of subordinating a racial group and maintaining control over that group." - Carmichael and Hamilton (1967)
After about 15-20 minutes of conversation, Mr. Kuettner, moved on to search for the female photographer friend who had accompanied him to the Occupy Detroit protest. (In fact, I had allowed this same woman to take my photo just before I had spotted Kuettner walking on the east side of Woodward at Grand Circus Park.) So, likewise, I moved on to continue a conversation with a fellow protestor about the actions of DTE Energy and to participate in more activities with Occupy Detroit in Grand Circus Park.
After a while, I walked across the street to the Michigan Welfare Rights Organization (MWRO) office, http://michiganwro.blogspot.com/ to return the DTE Energy protest sign and to prepare myself to go home. However, I was surprised again when I found Evan Thomas Kuettner (i.e., Tom Kuettner, Evan Thomas, etc...), the President of the Warren Tea Party, sitting at the table in the MWRO office. In addition, his female photographer friend was sitting on his left side at the same table.
Unfortunately, Evan Thomas Kuettner did not seem happy to see me. In fact, as I entered the MWRO office room, he turned away from me so that I could only see the back of his head. (I have no idea why he did this). He visibly squirmed in his seat and he fixed his face toward his female photographer friend. I walked closer to the table to get a better look at the face of this alleged White Supremacist/White Nationalist who also goes by the name of Evan Thomas. http://www.mediamouse.org/...
Of course, I felt compelled to make sure that everyone in the MWRO office was aware of the fact that, indeed, we were in the presence of the President of the Warren Tea Party and, so, I made a verbal announcement about this fact (aimed especially for the ears of Maureen D. Taylor, State Chairperson for MWRO).
Soon, it became obvious that during his visit to the MWRO office, as the Occupy Detroit protest was underway across the street in Grand Circus Park, the Warren Tea Party President, Tom Kuettner (i.e., Evan Thomas Kuettner, Evan Thomas, etc...), had chosen to remain silent (he had not said one word) about his role/connection to the Warren Tea Party or about his role in bringing neo-Nazi Paul Fromm to Lansing for the third time in 2008.

In addition, here are links to a few articles related to Evan Thomas Kuettner (i.e., Tom Kuettner, Evan Thomas, etc ...) and a few of his various activities:

Michigan "Stormfront" Members Attended Nick Griffin Speech at MSU
"... Aside from the leafleting at Eastern Michigan University, it is worth noting that "David Starr Jordan"-who's name appears to be "Evan Thomas" based on several posts and articles attributed to him on Stormfront-is an active member of the organized racist movement at the national level. This year, Thomas spoke at a gathering of white supremacists in New York, where he was described as one of the "up-and-coming leaders of a new wave of white supremacy" by the Village Voice." http://www.mediamouse.org/...
According to an article, from the seemingly defunct Michigan Racism Watch website, dated November 12, 2010 (information retrieved July 2011): "... Unfortunately, this is not the first time that white supremacists have gotten politically active in Michigan. Randy Gray-who has been a member of the Ku Klux Klan in Michigan-was elected and later removed as a Republican precinct delegate back in 2008. Gray was also active in the Ron Paul presidential campaign before being removed after news of his racist activities surfaced. ... While it is easy to expose the past of racists like Evan Thomas Kuettner and Randy Gray, it is essential that folks remain vigilant and watch for racists getting involved in political activity. The white supremacist movement engages in a diverse array of tactics and it may manifest itself in any number of ways."
Mr. Kuettner filed a Statement of Organization (SOO) for the Committee to Elect Tom Kuettner, for Warren City Council in District 4, however, his candidacy ended after he lost the August 2011 primary election in a relatively close race. Among other things, his SOO shows his name to be Evan Thomas Kuettner.
QUESTION: Should there be reason for concern about the fact that on Friday, 10/14/11, during his visit to the office of Michigan Welfare Rights Organization (MWRO) and as Occupy Detroit was underway across the street, the Warren Tea Party President ,Tom Kuettner (i.e, Evan Thomas Kuettner, Evan Thomas, etc...), chose not to reveal his role/connection to the Tea Party movement?
Please advise. Thank you in advance.
