Some Big Orange Jackass wrote this more than four years ago about Mitt Romney's endorsement of Rocky Anderson, the liberal Democratic mayor of Salt Lake City who protested the Iraq War, called for Bush's impeachment, supported gay marriage, and favored abortion rights:
Romney endorsed SLC mayor Rocky Anderson in 2003

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Yeah, this Mayor Rocky Anderson:
This afternoon, I testified before a Washington State Senate committee supporting Sen. Eric Oemig's resolution that calls for Congress to consider impeaching President Bush and Vice President Cheney. I also spoke twice at a rally supporting the impeachment of President Bush. My extended remarks are given below, while my other remarks at the rally and my testimony at the hearing can be read here.
And this one:
As this administration continues to pursue policies completely contrary to the laws, treaty obligations, and fundamental values of our nation, we need to take a stand and loudly proclaim our values as patriotic Americans. The principles upon which our nation was founded require a withdrawal from Iraq and full accountability for President Bush and this disastrous administration.
And this one:
Working together, we can pressure Congress to hold this administration to account, to ensure the presidency can never again be held by one who so blatantly defies the laws of the land and the traditions that form our nation's identity.
And that's just his diaries on Daily Kos.
The wingers aren't going to like this one. How many strikes like this one does Romney get before he loses all support to the "Draft Thompson" effort?
Oh, and one other thing: Mayor Anderson supported gay marriage. In 2003. And Mitt Romney endorsed him anyway.
We had all this on our site more than four years ago, yet none of the Republican candidates have raised it on the campaign trail even though the Republican base would be outraged by Romney's endorsement. In other words: worst opposition research ever.
