This is the video on Mitt Romney's history of flip-flops we've all been waiting to see:
The DNC put the video together and is now running a
30-second ad in Ohio encouraging people to go to
MittvMitt.com to see "the story of two men trapped in one body." But while the ad will
run in swing state Ohio, make no mistake: it isn't your ordinary general election ad.
Even if the only people that it influences are Republican primary voters, it will still serve a purpose: tripping up Romney right out of the starting gates. And if Newt Gingrich or one of the other clowns in the race manages to run a competent campaign for more than four consecutive weeks, five months from now we may look back at this moment and wonder why in the world so many pundits thought Mitt Romney ever had a chance.
10:21 AM PT: Mitt Romney's campaign is holding 12 different conference calls today to respond to this ad. Presumably 6 will be in favor of it, and six against it. (Groans, I know...) But on a more serious note, it's clear the one thing they don't want to talk about is the Union Leader's endorsement of Newt Gingrich.
