Christine O'Donnell says she likes Mitt Romney now that he's flip-flopped to the tea party
So Mitt Romney has secured one of his highest profile endorsements yet: former
Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher guest Christine O'Donnell. And she says one of the biggest reasons she supports him is
because he flip-flopped to embrace her positions:
Christine O’Donnell, who has endorsed Mitt Romney, appeared on CNN Wednesday and inadvertently drew attention to one of the charges against the former Massachusetts governor from his critics - flip-flopping.
“That’s one of the things that I like about him — because he’s been consistent since he changed his mind,” O’Donnell said.
Mitt returned the love, releasing this statement:
“Christine has been a leader in the conservative movement for many years,” said Mitt Romney. “Christine recognizes that excessive government threatens us now and threatens future generations, and I am pleased to have her on my team.”
But Mitt wasn't the only one who was pleased to have Christine O'Donnell on his side.
The Democratic National Committee, perhaps revealing Democrats' bemusement over the endorsement, took the highly unusual step of forwarding Romney's press release that touted it to reporters. The DNC added a simple message to the release: "ICYMI," which means, "In case you missed it."
On Twitter, speculation was rampant about potential #FutureRomneyEndorsements. Among the guesses: Kim Kardashian, La Toya Jackson, Glenn Beck, Voldemort, Carl Icahn, Seamus the Roofdog, and Mel Gibson.
So who do you think is most likely to endorse Mitt Romney next?
