Yet again the NYPD shows they are in no way upholding the expected decorum and honor that wearing a badge conveys. Instead thuggery and assault is the order of the day.
Too bad they can not find themselves interested in actually arresting those that are terrorizing our nation on Wall Street.
The NYPD did not waste any time Saturday morning arresting people. With about 15 people hovering around the park prior to Saturdays direct action this gentleman entered the park and was quickly surrounded, detained, cuffed and taken away by the NYPD.
Some in the park say that the NYPD has started to target and arrest OWS organizers as they show up at events and direct actions.
Is this a sign of things to come under the NDAA Act that President Obama intends to sign into law? This is not the change we voted for!!!
In another video:
Protestor was shoved and when he expressed his displeasure he was violently thrown to the ground and arrested. Interesting mix of some officers overreaction and others trying to deescalate the situation. Off camera, the scooter cop hit the Lawyers Guild observer and yelled at him for trying to see the arrest.
And more violent arrest of peaceful protesters:
Kettling people for peaceably assembling:
