NY Times:
By putting Jon Stewart in charge of his “super” political action committee, renamed the Definitely Not Coordinating With Stephen Colbert Super PAC, Mr. Colbert provides a study in the absurdity of laws governing campaign spending. It’s what’s fresh about a Colbert joke that seems a little tired on the second go-round. We’ve seen these elaborate teases and the celebratory balloons before. Then again, the potential (and unpredictability) of Mr. Colbert’s stunt derives from his uncanny ability to draw the rest of the world into his comic conceits.

Effect of Bain controversy, but
Romney still wins.
My favorite Romney-bot, Jennifer Rubin, decides Bain hasn't hurt Romney at all, and Romney's already won by getting nervous conservatives worried about long-term damage to back him. Oh, and... and... Gingrich has lost. Except see above.
Charles Blow:
You’re just jealous. At least that’s how Mitt Romney sees it. The millionaire who posed for a picture with the boys at Bain Capital with the long green clinched between their teeth and poking out of their collars and jackets now says that people who question what he did there, and what rich people do now, are just green with envy.
Gail Collins:
But it’s hard to be sure about Mitt’s wealth because he has refused to release his tax returns. This is something every major presidential candidate in recent history has done, but so what? If every major presidential candidate in recent history jumped off the roof, would you expect Mitt to do that? How many other major presidential candidates in recent history came from the business sector? How many drove to Canada with their family dog strapped to the roof of the car? So, really, stop with the sweeping generalizations.
According to WaPo's Behind the Numbers, a Bush endorsement is good if you're a Republican...
but overall bad (all adults):
Even with Republicans, McCain's endorsement is useless. And if you're not a Republican, it's worse than useless. The bottom line is that most people don't give a rat's ass about endorsements.
I posted on the new Democracy Corps poll yesterday: here's another graphic:
