The actual numbers are pretty stunning, as discussed by fladem here. Gingrich leads by 9, but on the last day of polling, he was up by 14:
It looks like Newt's picking up a few points from Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney, and as of this poll, undecided/not sure is only 5 percent. Further, check out the committed voters:
There's still a lot of volatility in that second column (might end up supporting someone else), and pollster.com's Mark Blumenthal notes:
Unforeseen late events can shape voter preferences in unexpected ways. Telephone polls interrupt voters in the middle of other activities and ask them to make a decision as if "the election were held today." But many real voters are still mulling their choices, particularly in the rush of recent events, so caution is in order in interpreting the latest poll results.
Still, the smart money says:
As Mr. Inevitable goes from 3-0 to 1-2 almost overnight, can anyone think of a weaker front runner than Mitt Romney?
