I would like to see the media abandon the fiction that this is a contest waged by candidates Romney, Santorum, Gingrich and Paul. Let's report the news and results with the names of the actual contestants. For example:
Hedge fund manager John Paulson and his Super PAC, "Restore our Future", narrowly defeated investor Foster Friess's PAC, the "Red White and Blue Fund" in Ohio, after blanketing the state with ads disparaging Friess's candidate. Casino owner Sheldon Adelson's PAC, "Winning Our Future", was not much of a factor in Ohio but is expected to do well in Alabama and Mississippi.
By leaving the names of the nominal "candidates" out of the reporting and focusing on their owners, I believe we'll get a more accurate picture of what is really going on.
