PRESS RELEASE:
A Statement by Wisco Wherls
May 6th, 2012
According to a post by my friend and our union Emissary, Chris "Capper" Liebenthal at Cognitive Dissidence, Scott Walker currently has a new fundraising letter being circulated around the country in a desperate attempt to raise as much money as legally possible over the next month and potentially save his job in the process. In this letter, he utilizes his standard amalgam of lies, condescension and fear mongering to plead his case to the uninformed masses. In a similar letter circulated last year, he had this pithy piece of garbage to pass along:
"For the Union-paid protesters who screamed until their faces were red...all I can say is that they can yell and curse all they want but I am not going to back down."
I, and countless others, have grown exasperated from listening to the unceasing stream of lies the Governer spouts about all of these “Union-paid protesters” he supposedly deals with everywhere he goes. I am a proud, unpaid, nonunionized protester and I know there are thousands of others like me in Wisconsin who are simply not getting the credit we deserve. So, in honor of Governer Walker and out of spite, I have decided to form our OWN union for those of us unpaid, nonunionized protesters “who screamed until their faces were red” over the past fifteen months in Wisconsin. Henceforth, our group of disparate individuals will operate under the banner of the Federation of Unorganized and Concerned Kids: Young, Old and Unpaid; Screaming, Cursing, Outraged and Tired of Tyranny Yesterday.
Founded: Sunday, May 6th, 2012
Planned dissolution: Wednesday, June 6th, 2012
This union works towards the betterment of Wisconsin, on behalf of its citizens. However, considering the staggering amount of time Scott Walker spends out-of-state, membership will be open to all those who qualify, regardless of location. We are proudly accepting applications for membership at this time.
UPDATE!! May 6th, 2012; 9:00 p.m.
*Membership in WISCONSIN UNION LOCAL 1848 is granted exemption from union membership requirements!!*
Thank you,
Wisco Wherls, President
