I am LOVING the GOP Madness "Lowlights of the RepubliCon Primary" Competition, and have voted in a bunch of the contests, if not all.
Here's what I'm hoping for the final round. And here's why.
This isn't a huge diary, but pure horse-race fun and some side commentary thrown in . . . past the dancing 8s.
Granted, this is not a whole hell of a lot of diary. . . . .
I would LOVE to see a final bout of the audience booing the gay soldier, versus audience shouting "Let him die!".
If you look at the northwest and southeast corners of the brackets, you'll notice that it's quite possible.
I think very few of the other lowlights have the same resonance, publicly, as the picture of the GOoPer audience itself. We spend a lot of time, righteously, giving the 'Cons' leadership the business, and calling out the figureheads at the front of the movement.
Frankly, it's time some of that harsh, glaring, mirror usually reserved for Limbaugh, Palin, Norquist, et al., got turned on the "average folks" who make up the overwhelming majority of the conservative movement. I think DailyKos, with its national platform, is the perfect place to do just that. We've been letting the people in the RepubliCon grassroots off the hook, and it's time to turn the harsh light of reality upon them.
PLEASE vote for "Booing the gay soldier" today, and when its turn comes up, vote for the audience shouting "Let him die," too.
This would be a truly damning picture of what today's GOP has become.
