Things are looking better each day. Many here don't like Mark Halperin, often for good reason. Nonetheless, he is worth looking at to gain perspective what the mainstream media is reporting.
In his lead item today, "The Troubles", Halperin trashes Romney the candidate and also Romney's prospects. It is a great read.

Romney is an awkward, unlikable candidate. The author of Romneycare is ill positioned to attack Obamacare. And Romney’s shifting positions make him an easy mark for an aggressive White House.

The Fox News Sunday round table yesterday sounded like a postmortem explaining a Romney loss.
Essentially, Halperin acknowledges that the "Electoral Reality" looks quite poor for Mitt.
He wonders if the SuperPACs could abandon him if this continues,
shifting their money from the presidential race to save the House majority and look to pick up Senate seats. Romney’s own fundraising will take a hit.
Halperin also attacks the performance of Romney and Ryan on the Sunday shows, calling it
weak answers in interviews on such topics as health care, the U.S. military and the budget
It is all falling into place, months earlier than we would have hoped.
