It's begun. The end stretch, with big endorsements, closing messages and final polls.
Ben Smith has the Tweet. The Mayor's endorsement comes from the climate change angle:
Did Bloomberg endorse last time around? Can't remember, always had the idea that he stayed out, so to conserve his "independent" image.
12:09 PM PT: David Kurtz at TMP confirms that Bloomberg didn't endorse last time around, so him doing so today IS a BFD, says Kurtz (not literally):
I don’t put much stock in endorsements, but it’s notable that the New York mayor — who declined to endorse anyone in 2008 — frames his endorsement of President Obama today around the issue of climate change.
12:22 PM PT: Here's his endorsement.

12:25 PM PT: He can't stop being a dou... an independent figure, so he sneaks in some billionaire Obama bashing:
And rather than uniting the country around a message of shared sacrifice, he engaged in partisan attacks and has embraced a divisive populist agenda focused more on redistributing income than creating it.
But, overall, it's a good endorsement.
