I have ignored the growing scandal of Petraeus, Allen, sexy emails, topless photos, rogue FBI members, etc. For the most part, I have no idea what's going on.
But I have learned one thing: Our military is operating under an archaic moral code of conduct that must be updated to the 21st century. Personally, I'm disgusted by adultery. But I don't see how it's my or anyone else's business what Petraeus may have done in his bedroom.
Now, there are times when sexual conduct is relevant: For instance, the Secret Service put the president's life in danger during their worldwide rent-a-prostitute spree... but that's an entirely different issue.
Can we please get back to talking about the things that matter?
Are we really going to let the year run out without addressing how republicans would rather stall the economy and raise taxes on middle and lower income Americans because they're hellbent on protecting millionaires and billionaires?
