Ancient Greece: Faces (Photo Diary)

The Portland, Oregon, Art Museum recently held an exhibition of more than 120 items from the British Museum’s collection of Greek and Roman art. Shown below are some photographs of the ancient faces shown in these art pieces.

The Greek superman Heracles is shown above.

Notice that the face shown above has something unusual: a mustache. He is a barbarian, perhaps a Gaul.
