Shown above is a 1953 North American F-100F Super Sabre. This plane could cruise at 590 miles per hour with a top speed of 875 miles per hour. It has a range of 1661 miles. This was the first U.S. Air Force fighter capable of supersonic speed in level flight. These planes were sold to foreign countries including France, Taiwan, Turkey, and Denmark.

Shown above is a 1955 Republic F-105G Thunderchief. It cruises at 586 miles per hour with a top speed of 1,386 miles per hour. It has a range of 1,500 miles. It was originally intended as a fighter-bomber rather than a pure fighter. It was intended to carry a single nuclear bomb.


Shown above is a 1949 Lockheed F-94C Starfire. This aircraft cruised at 493 miles per hour with a top speed of 640 miles per hour. It had a range of 1,275 miles. This was the first production aircraft to be fitted with only rocket armament. The Starfire was only used from 1953 to 1959.


Shown above is a 1953 Convair F-102A Delta Dagger. It could cruise at 600 miles per hour and had a top speed of 810 miles per hour. It had a range of 1,350 miles.
